I think it was wrong for him to be in black face. It just isn’t a smart move for any politician to make. I don’t think his a klans man or anything but he may have some prejudices he is not consciously aware of. I don’t think he meant any harm. He in his blog talked about other actor who had done similar actions. Then he spoke about how he worked to help during Katrina. He sounded very defensive. He and all politicians need to be very careful about their actions.

I agree. I don't think he meant any harm. Being a politician requires greater sensitivity to things. It was a stupid mistake on his part, and, honestly, I think he's an idiot. But that doesn't make him a devil.
ReplyDeleteI agree, he did sound really defensive especially when he demanded an apology. The only reason to defend something that strongly is if he knew he did something wrong.
ReplyDeleteI suppose I also agree, it seemed really ignorant of him to post up such a picture, but he does make a point that racism still exists today. He created such a controversy that people have now seen with their own eyes can think about how their own actions may affect others.
